We take a unique approach to workouts. The objective is to strengthen ankles and feet to get you stronger from the ground up. Our skate training programs are designed to allow the client to perform at his or her best by challenging their coordination, concentration, agility, maneuverability and lateral movement, while building unparalleled balance, footwork, speed, change of direction and endurance, making your sport more effortless.
Our programs do not utilize weight-lifting and excessive running, as we believe those activities break down the body and sets your body up for injury in the long run. When you lift heavier weights, your muscles pull on your tendons and your tendons pull on your bones. When you run excessively, particularly on hard surfaces, you are causing trauma to your feet and entire body. SG-365 is geared to activate your glutes, strengthen your muscles & joints, and maximize your body's potential, by easing the stresses on your body through skating; while providing a fully effective workout. In weeks, you'll increase lower body strength, flexibility, agility, decrease your risk of injury and burn more fat.
Footwork drills:
Includes crossover, sidestep, forward and reverse, start and stop, in and out movements, subway, etc...
Designed to prevent or reduce injuries to Achilles, ACL, MCL, plantar fasciitis, ankles, etc...
Knee Strength:
Includes skating on the oval track focusing on cutting maneuvers; cross training workouts, etc...
Designed to improve knee flexion and peak knee abduction movement that helps to avoid overuse injuries such as tendonitis
Cardio (Change the Pace):
Varying the tempo of your workout and taking intervals of rest in between, can bring huge improvements in strength, power and endurance. By varying speed, you trigger a response that creates muscle growth. True endurance isn't about developing staying power at one speed; it's about fine-tuning your muscular and cardiovascular systems to operate efficiently in all variations: slow, medium and fast.
Designed to strengthen hips, knees, core, hamstrings, waist, back, etc...
I can assure your experience skating on the bank oval track will be fun and rewarding as you ride, stride and glide to total body fitness without any stress on your joints. I encourage you to make the smooth transition to skating, and "Love what you feel, and what you don't!" -Samuel L. Washington
